custom tow hook or something

well i dont have a tow hook on the front of my 87 4x4 pickup. there are however 4 threaded holes that looks good for making something. i basically just need something to attatch a tow strap to and is cheap and easy to make in shop class.

anyone have any ideas?

if you have access to a mill pick up some aluminum blocks and make your own. measure the bolt holes center to center, drill 2 holes | | and one -- for a D ring shackle.

Get a set from the bone yard and then take it to your class and see if you can't improve on the design. Build it to your liking. If not, well at least you still have a set of some thing to use and/or go by.... Not just a hat rack up there ay!!

I bought these from a local off-road shop. Bolts ARE different, but holes are EXACTLY the same. So, I just got different threaded bolts. $20

Alright, I know that took a little bit. honestly though, If you have the resources, I would much rather have these then the tow hooks. These things have saved my butt more then once : Have fun in shop class, Wish I could be there still

I noticed your in SW WA, just head over to foster auto parts and grab a couple. Last time I went, there were quite a few 4x4 toyotas, I doubt they will cost much. I'm sure Dollars corner wrecking would have a few also and they are even closer.
