craigslist caught my eye

the duallys never came with 4x4 factory did they? I guess it's kinda cool but kinda pointless if it's stock springs.

Pretty cool. I've been wanting to build a long bed xtra cab dually for a while now, this is the first time i've seen one.

I dont think 4wd ever came dually from the factory.

It's not pointless at all. One of the problems when hauling heavy loads on a standard axle is the small amount of contact area between rubber and road. Two tires can only take so much before they get squirrely. A dually axle obviously doubles that area which makes your drive MUCH more stable.

Obviously that orange one is just for show but there is a purpose for a dually rear on a toyota

Factory Toyota duallys were only made in 2wd.
That looks like the dually fenders available from JC Whitney and if I had to guess the rear wheel-to-wheel adapters are from JC Whitney as well.

I wonder how my 4runner would look as a dually?

The dually is cool, but lets face it, its not powerfull enough to haul anything more than it could handle stock...

Lets hope its geared down.. v8 swap and that thing would be fun

I don't think those are wheel adapters. The rear wheels are actually offset like they are supposed to be. It might be an axle out of a dually.

i think he meant wheel adapters so he could run the same wheels, i think the dually rear came with a diff 6 lug pattern than the front? or it was 8 lug and the front was still 6,kinda retarded but hey...its a dually
