Crack in drive shaft?

When I start my runner up(95 sr5 22re 5speed) it runs great but for the first 15 or so minutes it has a squeal the come from what sounds to be the front cv axel, just wondering if it's a bearing or the drive shaft itself or what I don't think it would hurt to replace the cv axels but I just wonder about the cracked shaft... Is it safe to just weld up?

How did you diagnose a cracked shaft? Is this on the cv axle? If so, replace the cv.

A.D.D. I assume. So, most likely, you need to lube or replace the spindle bearings/bushings.

Weld up the driveshaft? You don't even know if it's cracked. Not to mention the fact that it wouldn't be making any noise if it was(since it's not turning unless you're in 4WD).

Automatic Disconnecting Differential (ADD) is used for shift on the fly into 4wd versus a manual hub that needs to be engaged manually by physically before using the 4wd.

With ADD. the cv axle does turn 100% of the time, except there is no load on it in 2wd.

T-Rob, start using the search function here and the FSM (Factory Service Manual) to educate yourself. FSM is on sig link below.
