A couple problems trying to figure out

Hi all any help is appreciated.
I have a 94 extracab 4x4 3.0L v6
1. High idle around 1100-1200rpm cold or hot all the time tried adjusting idle speed screw no change.
2. All of a sudden when I put my high beams on my headlights go out completely. But sometimes they work like normal.
3. When I turn sharp like backing out of a parking spot usually to the right I get a clanking or cracking sound from the front left. I replaced both front axels with new ones when I first got the truck in July because of a safety to register it. When it was on the hoist last month for a new starter I noticed the lower ball joint rubbers were torn, could it be my ball joints?

Again thank for any help.

1. IACV possibly
2. Clean the contacts inside the steering column
3. Probably it's your steering stops, lubricate with some axle grease or scrap some from the ujoints

1. Take your intake off and try cleaning the throttle body and all the electrical connections near it.
2. I had a grounding issue from the left side headlight that would result in both headlights flickering sometimes. Check all the grounds if BigBluePile's suggestion doesn't work. There should be two grounds along the fender both in/out, I may be wrong.
3. Most likely steering stops if you only hear it in full lock. You can try greasing them, but it'll wear away after a while. There's some aftermarket caps on eBay another member tried and had great success with.
