Cooling issues
Hey all,
So my 4Runner has been doing great until last weekend when I was idling and noticed the temp gauge was near the red. I parked it at home immediately and found a small crack in my radiator. So I went to the store and got some stop leak. The radiator seems to be cured but now I'm leaking from the little box thing that you see in the picture.
First of all, I cannot figure out from the FSM what that little box does. Second, what would you recommend I do here? Is it possible that I have a clog from the stop leak in one of those hoses? If I pull those hoses will I need to burp the system once this is all done? Any help is appreciated, I really don't know much about cooling systems. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that stuff can plug hoses, heater core, etc.

Thanks slacker, I really want one of those but I don't know if I can afford it right now....
So the plan is to assess full damages, replace radiator and maybe my really old thermostat and take it from there. Thanks for the quick responses to both of you, and slacker, I will keep you in mind... I also want some glass but I guess I'll keep dreaming.
