Cooling idle down

I just recently did my plugs and wires ngk plugs and Borg Warner wires after that my idle went from 750 800 to 1k I also noticed a small coolant leak last night noticed my idle was a little rough and lack of power and rough through the rpms I was able to add a full water bottle of water to the radiator and it seemed to help a little maybe it was just a placebo but can a coolant loss mess my idle and throttle up. I've heard that coolant passes through the tb but I'm not sure what to do
