coolent puddle
Guys I have a strange issue.....
At the top of my engine at the rear of the intake the valley
collects a small puddle of antifreeze. The truck runs like a top
and runs cool no issues. It does not lose allot of coolent but
coolent on the outside of a engine is never good.
It is a 86 4runner with 209,000 on it.
I am attaching picture to illustrate
any ideals?
Thanks

Wash the entire area in question, let it dry completely, then start it up and start looking for the leak. Have a good flashlight and a mechanics mirror for the inspection, you'll probably need them.
Once the leak has been found, fix it!
Good luck, and welcome to YT!

If i'm looking at it correctly (hard to tell from the pic) and assuming it's a 22re by the pic as well. You have one of a few spots there that could leak. Looks like the intake there and the lower half at that so my guess is either some one changed the t-stat out and didn't clean up the area or it's leaking from there. Other option is you have a intake manifold leak. The t-stat is the best option since it's easy to access but if it turns out to be the lower intake gasket not a big deal as well. Like yayfortees said clean it up and then check for leaks. Just my 2 cents hope it helped
