Coolant leaks and oil leaks on a 91 4runner
Hey guys, so I am new to this forum, I have been registered for a while but havn't made any worthwhile posts. This would be my first and unfortunately its also not a good one. I have an interesting couple of problems. I am hoping you guys can help me out with some ideas or whatnot because I am not sure how to deal with them. Btw I have a 91 4runner, 4 cylinder. First of all I am pretty sure I have a coolant leak Heres a picture of what I am dealing with.
So yea, it looks not good... and I think thats the glow plug but I am not exactly sure. Any assistance on that one would be greatly appreciated. Then I have an oil leak, I go through a quart a month now I figured out... its not good. I figured I was burning oil but then I went down there when I found out I had the coolant leak and saw some oil residue across my cross over bar. So heres the pictures of that
You can see where its kind of building up oil like dripin. Its reallly slow though. But it seems to be enough to be a problem. I dont' know if I am supposed to go as far as to be pulling off the crankshaft pulley to replace a seal or what. Thanks guys!

the first one is a pic of the block heater
dont really need that unless you live in very cold weather
you could fix that by popping it out and buying a frost plug(only about $1) and driving the frost plug in
the oil leak is coming from your front crank oil seal and yeah your going to have to pull off the crank pulley along with the timing belt(big job) better just to go to an auto parts store and buy some oil stop leak

Huh, if I pull off the the block heater plug, do I need to flush the system of all coolant? Or can I just pop that off and put on a frost plug litteraly without any other changes.
