Coolant on floorboard inside truck
I pretty much have a good idea that the heater core is f-ed up here. However, I wanted to know what kind of job this is going to be. The coolant seems to only be coming out when I have the heat on, which makes sense. But would flushing it out work if it is leaking inside the truck.

Flushing it out will not fix anything if its leaking. Its not necessarily a hard job, but its a very time consuming job. You have to completely remove your dash, and all the heater boxes to be able to get at the heater core.
Just take your time, remove everything carefully, and lay it out in a clean dry area so parts are easy to recognize.

flushing it is not going to stop the leak that i know of,and you pretty much have to take apart your whole dash to get to it,which is not that bad i did mine in about 3hrs start to finish and cleaned my dash before i put it back in,looks REAL CLEAN!

I have all new tan, crack free dash out of a 95 4runner that I need to install into my 89 pickup, so I guess this will be the perfect time to get all of that layed in. 3 hrs isnt that bad, I can get that done tonight. So all I need to do is get a new heater core, intall it and turn it on right? There arent any tricks i need to do before I bolt all of the dash back up is there?
Thanks for the help ya'll

I just dropped a new motor in last week, so it is all brand new coolant, that is leaking into my truck. The 95 4runnner dash should bolt right in shouldnt it? 89 truck and 95 4runner are the same?
