I just blew a head gasket on my 94 pickup. The mechanic replaced the gasket and various parts (timing chain, water pump, etc.). Now that he has begun the timing process he noticed a valve sticking. After more running it just got worse. After checking compression he found that #1 cylinder is at 110 pounds, #2 is around 50 lbs, #3 is about 40 lbs, and #4 is 110 lbs. He believes that the water which was in the cylinders caused it to blow the rings out. A couple of the cylinders were full of water when he tore it apart. Now it wont even idle. He has to rev it up and if he lets off it just dies. Anybody have any ideas? I'm already figuring i might just have to buy a new engine, but i'd like to keep from having to do that...thanks ya'll
