Cold Starting Problems for my 94
My 1994 injected V6 seems to take an excessively long time (cranking) for it to finally start, I cleaned the Cold Start Injector and have recently replaced the Fuel Pressure Regulator, but still it doesn't want to start (...once started she runs like a raped ape!). Anybody have a condition like this in the past, am I looking at a bad check valve in the fuel pump??? Or should I just replace the Cold Start Injector and or the Cold Start Injector Timer? Also note, the truck is not used much in the summer months, could there be something in the tank or inlet filter that I may be able to clean out the system, like I said once she starts she runs just fine. Not looking forward to lowering the fuel tank, too many years, I'm sure the bolts will break off, any and all input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
PS, If the Cold Start Injector only is used during start, why can't I just short the lead to the injector timer and remove it from the circuit?

...as you can see it's my first post
...as you can see it's my first post, I have noticed that there are allot of posts very similar to mine (I guess I should have looked before I started to type). However I haven't seen anything about the check valve in the fuel pump, nor anything about shorting out the injector timer (...if it's only used during start, why not eliminate it from the circuit?). Again sorry about my post, no "you're an idiot" messages pleas. Thanks again, great site.

I replaced the cold start injector switch, if you believe there is such a thing...LOL! It is heat activated...if you do a search on here for it, the is a post that tells which one of the six sensors in the back of the intake it is, and how to test to see if its bad. I believe it is the second one from the drivers side in a cluster of 3 sensors. But I dont remember. Hope this helps.
