Welcome to YT.

Depends on your set up. If all stock I'd say no not worth it. But if modified depending on mods then yeah but more for flow than being "cold."

If you are turbo, ya. Otherwise, I am not sure cold air intakes really do all that much for NA engines.

one reason for a cold air intake is the stock box will hold water in a deep water crossing situation, where an open filter will not.

when i bought mine i did headers, 2.5" exhaust and open muffler at the same time so i can't say anything about the cai by itself.

Despite what the manufacturer will tell you, a cold air intake will not get you the "10-15hp, and 5 extra mpg" the say it will.

Also if you do go that route, dont cheap out on the filter, being completely exposed to water, and dust inside your engine bay warrants a quality filter.

Red face

While I Agree most are just hype to sell a unneeded product.

it would also depend just where one is ducting the cold air from.

Any place in the engine compartment is not cold air nor is one of those stupid cone filters.

I have seen some good designs but most are a comprise and really should be tailored for the weather you encounter .

All my turbo vehicles use the factory air intakes
