sorry for bringin back an old post. But, did you have to order the plates separate? And if so, where did you order them from? And is the ride stiff at all? or is it pretty nice?

This thread is quite recent, Its when people bring up 2+ year old threads that gets me...

Anyway...
The "plates" you speak of I think you mean the coil mount/retainer...?
Zuk himself sells all 4, 2 top 2 bottom (obviously) for 100 I think, I talked to him about it no too long ago..
Pm him yourself, He told me exactly which spring rate would be good what length yada yada, answered all my questions quickly, He's a good guy...
He's here on the forums, or heres his website: www.gearinstalls.com

I thought this email update I received from Junkers88(thread starter) would be worth a cut/paste ....................

SUPER ZUK!!

Well I've got several thousand miles your coiled set up that I put into my truck and it still rides like a dream. I took some measurements on it and the coils haven't settled at all, even after several huge loads of fire wood from the mountains, hauling all kind of other stuff and 3 or 4 wheeling trips a month. Still the best mod I've ever done.

With all that in mind I just went and bought an 89 4runner and yes the back end is sitting dead on the overloads and they are FLAT. So it looks like I'll be ordering some more mounts from you in the next few months as well as tracking down some 14" 100lb coils so the rear end will come up enough to be level with the BJ spacers I'll be doing in the front.

Thanks again for all the help!!
Ricky

That I can't answer with any conviction since I've never had any AAL's on a rig. I can say that the improvement in the ride from what it was with out the coils to what it is now is vast.

So Junker, I guess this means when you get the next set of coils for your newest rig that you will do another write-up? More pics of it falling off the jacks?
About that question if the coil rides better then the long AAL....yes. NO sagging over time....softer ride...better load carrying.

and I pronounce it "Zuke'....straight from Suzuki

My friends stuck me with the name when I was building a Sami...this one here...
