Coiled Toy ala ZUK.

I've been looking into lifting the rear of my pickup and really fell in love with the way ZUK puts coils under the rear of 4runners that are a little saggy. Well after several weeks of PM's and emails he convinced me to buy some coil springs and I convinced him to build me some "ZUK Custom" mounts for them. The coils got here today and I suspect the mounts will be here next week sometime. I'm looking to get 2" of lift, a better capacity for hauling gear and a softer ride (the empty back end of a truck bounces like a fiend). I'll be doing the 1 1/2" BJ's in the front to level things out and will do a full write up (my first) on the project. In fact I think ZUK would drive down here and maim me if I did't do a write up.

For those of you with trucks this may be the way to go for a less expensive and better performing lift.

I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks ZUK, I owe you one.

You talking about his crazy idea of putting coils over your leaf bumpstops? Lmao I did that once with the original SwampThing. Be careful what coils you use. I know I got a thread buried here somewhere about it.

It ended up lifting the swampthing's ass a good 4-5" over the front. Messes with your driveshaft angles too.

considering SwampThings' ass was lifted 4-5" over the front, no wonder it pulled out.
