Coil and igniter wiring help
Ok sorry to the guys that this is going to offend offend but i have a wiring question and i HAVE looked for a scamatic and cant find one. I have a 92 toyota pickup 4x4 22re that need the coil and igniter to run and my buddy gave me one off an 88 model. The only problem is that the plugs are different. So what im trying to figure out is if i can wire it in and cut the plugs off? i need to know the wiring for distributor and the igniter. Can anyone help me that has this info. any help appreciated!!! Also i am just going to flip the truck and make some money off of it so I am not worried about having the plugs for easy removal and so on.

Go down to Schucks, autozone, your local Dealership, or napa.. And buy the RIGHT parts..
Something like your igniter and coil should NOT have hacked up wiring.

so by making the wrong one work, you just screwed the next guy that might have to replace that part when it goes bad. Good job buddy.
If you planned on keeping the truck I can see this, but your looking to flip it. I hate people like that.

I didn't have the other coil or I would of pulled the pins... As far as screwing someone it actually quite easy to fix because the wires where all the same color to match....But yea it cool how noone chimed in to help just to talk $(@"....thanks anyways thread closed

just because you know how it was wired it does not mean the next grandpa or 16 year old kid(not stereotyping in anyway just trying to make a point) that gets the truck is not gonna know that's not the way it was supposed to be. All he's gonna see is the part the auto parts place gave him is not the one in the truck, or the repair shop he takes it to will not touch it because it's not what's on the truck unless they are familiar with the truck to begin with.
do yourself a favor go over on pirate and ask that same question. Watch what happens. This is mild compared to what would have happened over there.

This guy nailed it
This guy confirmed it.
If your gonna do it your way why come here and ask for help.
No one with any type of courtesy is gonna help someone put something on a truck that doesn't belong and gerry rig it for you to sell it to someone else. Especially with a high voltage electrical part that can be a fire hazard which can kill the next un be knowing person.
If you were on the trail with your own truck then maybe. But your flipping a vehicle for god's sake.
BTW you gonna divuldge this info when you sell it? I highly doubt it. All your gonna tell the guy is that it runs in which is what your end goal was to begin with.
