code 14 and 71
I have a 95 4runner with 191,XXX miles. Runnes good average 15 mpg in town driving. Doesn't miss or anything. My engine light came on and codes 25 and 71 came on so I changed the egr valve. Light stayed out for two days. Now it came back on with these codes 14 and 71. What should I look into now. thank you

Don't just replace parts, troubleshoot the system per the FSM, which is on the sticky. On the EGR, you probably have a leak in the vaccum system. I don't know what code 25 is, but it is in the FSM.

believe me I am not just going to replace parts just for the hell of. The egr was bad. Wouldn't waste $150. Decided to do a tune up yesterday. plugs wires, cap, and rotor. This should have been done 100,000K before it is amazing the truck even ran. The plugs had a gap of .070-.075 and burnt all up. Just out of curiosity would that cause codes?

Dunno - The ECU lights up a code when a signal is out of tolerance. The code 71 is related to too much Nitrous Oxide being sensed by the o2 sensor, I believe. If your combustion was not complete, a logical assumption with bad plugs, that could be the problem.
Just a guess. The codes are not very clear as to what the problem really is, the message gives you a place to start.
