1990 3.0 4Runner
I guess it may be time to replace my clutch. I'm a fair mechanic and I'm thinking of doing myself. I have never done a clutch before. What do I need and what is the replacement parts manufacture do I use? Any good links? I searched some but thought I would ask for help?

Several parts mfgs. to choose from Toyota OEM of course, Centerforce offers several different types, Hayes... are just a few. I went with hayes when I did mine just a while ago, excellent product at an affordable price (a few hundred less than OEM part quote).
I had my mech. do it because I don't have a hoist/stands/garage to work with/in.
You will need the usual tools, moveable stands to support the tranny, maybe torches to free up seized mounting bolts.. others can offer more advice.

It looks like I'm working 60 hours this week, so I called a reliable mechanic and he said 450.00 to 500.00 using OEM parts. I hope that means for the flywheel to be turned. I need this done before the weekend. Thanks for your feedback and help. I will follow up with a update post.

you'll probably can save a little money buying the parts yourself and bringing it to him... I'd go either exedy or aisin... both excellent OEM suppliers for various japanese cars.... you might find a deal on ebay too!
