Clunking on wheel lockout...
Did a search, here's the deal and I searched!
Noticed in the past few months that when I turn all the way to either side and am moving (slow speed, full lockout), I get a clunking sound from the left front. I replaced the bad outer wheel bearing Thursday, repacked with grease, and hit the zerk on the top of the A-arm that can sometimes cause some rubbing sounds.
Still no good. Anyone want to guess? I had the steering arm recall done a year ago. BTW, this occurred before and after I switched to manual hubs.

Are you sure its just not the steering stop that is on the bottom control arm that just prevents your tires from "over steering?"
Two metal objects will collide, if you make and movement with them, you will hear a horrible shreak or possibly "clunking."

Makes perfect sense to me, tomorrow I'll put it at full lockout and take a look to see what's possibly rubbing.

mines turns just fine at full with pressure on it and everything. of course when i go over a bump or anything at full turn, regardless of speed, my suspension creaks like crazy. lol. leaf springs are rubbing or something. sounds nasty. however, full turn no problems for me. i think turnin it full and checkin it out is gonna be ur best bet. if u dont see anything maybe leave it in nuetral and just rock it a little, get it too move and check if ur rotation changes any.

i'd bet the bank that it's the steering stops. you can get plastic caps from the dealer but they are very overpriced. greasing the stops every month or so will yield the same result/
