Clicking Behind Glovebox/ Fuel Pump Failure

Need some Help,
I have rebuilt my 3.slow and for about a Year and 10,000 miles everything has gone well. I was driving to work the other day and a loud clicking started behind the glove box. The trip home from work was even louder and the next day on the way to work the 4runner died. I had voltage at the fuel pump but no fuel at the fuel rail. I jumped Fp & B at diog cent and fuel pump did not cut on so i changed my pump out. It is now running but the clicking noise is still there. i pulled the COR and per FSM it checks out. Anybody with ideas?

I would check your AFM next. It turns you COR on.

Does it click only at idle, or all the time?

Like Flash319 said, the AFM could be a culprit since it turns the COR on when the engine's running. Similarly, it could be corroded contacts or a wire / contact is loose in a plug. These trucks are somewhat known for water seeping down the right-side A-pillar and causing corrosion on connectors to the ECU and other things around the area.

Mine did that when I had a loose connection in the AFM wiring. That loose connection caused the COR to drop out periodically and eventually also set a trouble code in the ECU that led me to that problem source. Located and corrected the loose connection and all is well now.
