check main and rod bearings or not
I have an 87 runner sas, took the pan off the reseal and was just curious in anyones opinion if I should check my bearings, its got 193,xxx miles on her and the previous owner. Had never checked em, just curious

Well you are right there but bearings that old for the most are going to show wear . How much you won`t know till you pull them apart then are you ready to replace.
at that point do you pull the engine buy the bottom end kit from engine builder and do the whole engine.
which just leads more decisions.

Ya and its a very strong running engine, new timing chain, no engine noise at all, im just goin through it fixing some leaks, I have no reason to pull em down but curiosity of their condition I guess

If you're oil pressure is good, they are probably fine. Have you ever had coolant in the oil (blown HG or chain rubbed through timing cover)? If so, I'd replace the bearings. If not, you're probably good.
