Cheapest (best for the buck) Header for 22RE

What is the best Header for the money for a 22RE? Thanks

cheap and high quality dont go together usually.

LC Engineering is the best, for the money.

headers are over-rated especially on a 4cylinder engine. i had to find this out the hard way. save your money or put it towards a locker or something that you will actually be able to appreciate.

Yeah I've seen a million threads on headers for 22re's but the problem is that I've never seen any conclusive evidence or dyno plots that indicate one header being better than another. Sure would be nice if some of the purported gains were proven on the dyno.


From what I gather the two best are LCE and Thorley
LCE is 4-1 and results in better top end gains
THorley is 4-2-1 (tri-y) and is better for low and mid range power

Both can be had ceramic coated and are really close in price with the ceramic which IMO is worth the extra money.

The stock manifold is designed quite well so many stick with it.
