Changing Shifter Seat and Bushing

Just changed out the shifter seat and bushing in my 4runner yesterday and it makes such a difference. Before in any gear the shifter had so much play that it seemed like it was in neutral and it was hard to find gears at times, now it is a joy to drive and it shifts very firm and has no play, feels like brand new. I highly recommend that anyone who has excessive play in there shifter do this, its cheap and takes maybe 15-20 min. I used the toyota seat and bushing, but I really wanted the marlin crawler set, but they wanted $20 to ship something that doesn't even weigh a pound, seems a little high when the shipping is more than the parts. Anyway the toyota ones work great and its a joy to drive now!

Congrats! Just replacing the worn out parts with oem makes an incredible difference (get them at the stealer). But IMO the marlin parts are worth the crappy shipping. Order some other parts from them to make it worth it

Unless someone else from BC orders the shifter bushing from Marlin, I'm not too interested in paying $20 for shipping to Vancouver.

yeah Skullyota mine was from the dealership and it works great cost about $14 all together. I would have much rather had the marlin set, but I don't think they have ever heard of any other form of shipping besides a $20 flat rate especially for something under a pound, thats crazy. I could buy the set from the dealership 3 times and it would end up costing what it would be to get it through marlin.

wonder what marlin would respond with if you asked for the bushings to be put in a regular envelope and mailed normally with standard postage?
