Changing Front Brake Rotors 2WD
Hey everyone. Just looking for some knowledge on changing the brake rotors on the 94 Pickup 2WD. I looked at the FSM and it is different than what I am used to.
4. IF NECESSARY, REPLACE ROTOR DISC (a) Remove the torque plate from the knuckle. (b) Remove the axle hub. (See page SA–15) (c) Remove the disc from the axle hub. (d) Install a new rotor disc. Torque the bolts. Torque: 64 N–m (650 kgf–cm, 47 ft–lbf) (e) Install the axle hub and adjust the front bearing preload. (See page SA–16) (f) Install the torque plate onto the knuckle. Torque: 108 N–m (1,100 kgf–cm, 80 ft–lbf)
Torque plate = Caliper mounting bracket?
Remove disk by taking the 5 bolts out?
How to hold the rotor in place while taking the bolts out?
Thanks guys.

Start by taking your caliper and bracket off, then your center bearing cap off, remove the cotter pin and remove the spindle nut, the rotor assembly should pull off... It's a greasy job for sure

Ya greasy is an understatement.
All went smooth except for the brake line fitting stripping when changing the lines. Had to get a new hard line and rebend it using sockets and a rubber hammer
All done though, and all for under 200 bucks for a master cylinder, calipers, rotors, pads, and lines.
