cb radio power

I got my (dead) grandpa's old CB radio. I'm wanting to install it into my 89 toyota pickup. I looked under the dash/cigarette lighter/ash tray area and found a bundle of wires. Red, black, yellow, green...which two are powered that I can split off to power the CB radio? Do I need to go in with a multimeter or can someone point out the right colored ones?

pff. It never occured to me to even wire it directly into the fuse box. Could I wire it to some 30 amp fuses under the dash? The previous owner has the fog lights wired this way, with a switch under the dash to enable/disable them. Could I do the CB the same way?

You can, but the radio should already have a inline-fuse but if not add one I would do 15amp though maybe even 10 CBs dont create that much amperage, In the chevy I just wired it directly to an unused spot in the fuse box, works great and turns off when key is removed!!!
