Cannot figure out why my speedo is'nt working
OK speedo not working on 1990 4x4 man. trans.. Screwed out cable from transfercase. hooked drill to it. speedo and trip odometer worked fine. Took out speed sensor gear, everything turned freely. Gear did look like it was not totally flat,but with the naked eye you could barely tell that is wore.
Can something be broke in t-case. I dont get it????? I have searched the forum and can't find a related topic of this particular manner

Can you look at an exploded diagram of the case in the FSM, maybe see what could be attached to it? Seems to me the problem most likely lies inside, unfortunately!!! Hope you can work this out, man - you couldn't pay me to open that sucker up....

Ive had them apart before doing crawl-gears. but the best i can remember the speedo gear has its mate built in to the mainshaft. I'll buy a cheap GPS if nobody has any ideas..LOL
