can i put fj cruiser rear coils on my 94?
Hey, I know that question sounds weird but my neighbor has a new Fj that he upgraded with all the goodies on it and yesterday he said I could have his old coils if I want. I would really love to get rid of the sag in my 94 v6 but was wondering if they would fit?
he also mentioned that i could have his front coil overs if I could modify mine in a way to make them work. is this possible?
If i can't take these i was just going to get some stock replacement ones from checkers, good idea? bad idea? thanks a ton.

I can not answer you on the first part, but to much work would be involved going to a coil over since you are setup with torsion bars.
For the last question, if you find you can not use the FJ coils back aft, do not just get a replacement coil in the stock size, it too will sag.
Two very popular coils for 2nd gen 4Runners are the Downeys and the OMEs.
I ran the Downeys on my 2nd gen, I got about 3" lift back aft as I was sagging, and it brought it up may 2" over stock.
Here is what it looked like with the Downy rear coils and SAW torsion bars up front cranked up a tad.
There are a couple of tech articles too in the Tech section on how to install 2nd gen aftermarket coils.

measure the top and bottom of teh spring (where it sits on teh body and axle)... if teh diamter of the FJ springs and the 2nd gen 4runner springs are teh same, you may be able to use the rear coils only... however... the legnth may be quite a bit off...
anybody got FJ coil measurements? upper diamter, lower diameter and legnth at rest?
