a lot of work. better to just buy a 4x4, the 4x4 frame is also a lot more durable. buy a 4x4 and fix it up, if u keep the 2wd, prerun it!

ozziesironmanoffroad: what do you mean by pre running? adding bigger tires and suspension? i will not get any money for my truck it has a salvage title and 300k on it so my thoughts are just to fix it up a bit and make it more of a fun truck rather than a city truck. what do you think also it only costs me gas and insurance to run

keep your truck fordaily driving and buy a 4x4 to work on a 85 and under if you want a s.f.a a 2wd to convert to 4wd you need a whole parts truck anyways pretty much

true, the money you would spend on converting your truck to 4wd would be better spent on getting a truck with 4wd .
if your 2wd is in good reliable condition and u wouldnt get much money for it by selling, i would just get a small lift [theyre cheaper for 2wds] and some 30 inch all terrains to get rid of that city boy look, and save up for a 4wd. at least u would have a reliable, paid for, cheap vehicle to run around in. [edit]: thats a nice 2wd truck posted above me, but not exactly cheap lol
