seems to be a lot of interest in ted's cams.
i just responded above to another cam post. love my torker (too much, can't keep my foot out of it). put it in to get to the top of loveland pass to play in the snow as fast as possible, i'll keep you posted.
got headers?

Put one in my 93, seems to have more "pull" up to 4000-4200 where as the stock was dead at 3500 ish. Usual shift point during daily driving was around 3000 now no problem going to 4000. Building my 86 now and going with it again...nice cam..

I'm running a 268 as well on a freshly rebuilt, stock 22re. What you will notice is that it will feel like a stock 22re until about 3000 or 3200 rpm and then it will pull very hard through about 4400, then it drops off quickly. The stock cam I believe does better past 4400, but who wants to rev it up that high anyway...

Keep in mind that you will need to set your valve lash to 0.007IN and 0.009EX per Ted's instructions rather than the stock 0.008IN and 0.012EX (this is all off the top of my head, i think it's right)

one big thing i've also noticed is with my headers and exhaust and airbox mod it sounds like a chevy v-8 going down the road (at least in the cab). at idle, sounds stock quiet. ted told me it was valve lap owing to flow through i'm getting. nasty-nice.
haven't gone beyond 3.5K yet, but the pull beyond 3K is unbelievable. i too didn't like to rev it up to get into the stock torque range, although apparently this motor like to run up there (and a lot of folks here on YT do just that). personal preference.
