Highest flow you can get while living in the nanny state... Sorry, but I hate California emissions. They're largely why the Yota and other foreign diesels aren't on our shores...

Mine was new when I bought the truck from the previous owner, it didn't pass smog so he had to put a new cat on. I don't know what kind it is.

I've heard people say high-flow cats tend to not pass smog in Cali. That's just hear-say though, nothing to back it up.

Just get a regular cat. Put the old bottom shield on the new cat.the one with the carb cert#

as a smog tech I've never looked at the cat.
And any 49 state legal cat will pass smog.assuming your other emission components are in working order.

I don't think that for work for me, the cat on my runner is on the rescinded list.

Here's a few models I've found.

http://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/39004/10002/-1

http://www.ebay.com/itm/WALKER-EXHAU...25ffc4&vxp=mtr

http://www.maxautosupplies.com/CATCO...rs-65004R.html

The Magnaflow is $188
The Walker is $146
The Catco is $96

Not sure what you get for the price difference.
Most of the time you get what you pay for, but not always.

I leaning towards the Walker, they've been in business a long time.

Max Auto sells the same Magnaflow for $137 shipped.

Seems Max Auto has the best prices, very large selection too.

1-2? Anything more than that and I'd give them funny looks. An honest, actual time worked, shop would probably bill you 30-45 min.

That's what I was thinking, thanks for the confirmation.

I know I could cut it off with a die grinder in about 10 minutes.
