a/c removel

will removing the a/c give me more power

Not if you are not using it. Only when it is compressing are you loosing power.

LOL my poor tired 22re hates the compressor, when its on it doesnt even get out of its own way, but the sad thing is, it blows colder that my chevy!!

There is always some parasitic drag by any belt or pulley that is turning, even if it's only 'idling'-not performing any work. You can't completely elliminate the friction caused by the bearings the pulley runs on unless you disconnect the pulley from the system.

If you were racing (drag, SCCA, SCORE, etc.) then maybe removing the compressor and a/c components could save you some weight and make you quicker, but we're talking about a Toyota truck here.

If you're serious about removing weight, remove the driver- that's an easy 150-250 lb savings right there.


But with the a/c off, removing the A/C comparable to removing a paper-clip so a 747 isn't overloaded.
