Swapped in some bucket seats from a Corolla yesterday. I love how much more comfortable it is now. I've also put in a center console I picked up from Wal-Mart for about $30 (the "Clutter Catcher" console ). Worked out perfectly. I don't have pics with the console in right now, but here's some pics of how the seats look.

Out with the old (the previous owner had swapped in a gray 3rd gen. bench seat):

You know, the guys in my local off road club said the same thing about that pesky 3rd shifter But I've got no plans to go duals just yet. But yeah, I've got some time to think about it...and the space is there.

As far as the bench, I'm in Richmond, VA. I have it for sale locally here for $50...if you're close, you're more than welcome to come get it!!!

Haha, thanks. And yeah, I've heard it tons from these guys just in the past day already. They're really going to give me a hard time about it until I just give in and do it I've had a couple of rigs in the past that have had crawler gears, and I really loved them. Saved my ass quite a few times in some tricky situations. Plus, being able to get out and walk next to your rig when it's crawling is just too much fun Some day they'll be in the Yota...just don't know exactly when yet. I have some other mods planned before I start throwing money at duals (like a rear locker, skid plates, sliders, and some more maintenance).

Ya Ide say rear locker first diffidently. you can go way more places with that over duals. when the time comes Plus maintenance is probably more important too

Very true. I'm battling some coolant/temp issues right now. Probably a sensor as all else is in good shape and has been replaced already. But that's a different animal for a different thread.

I have an 88 PU I want to swap the bench out as well. Did you need to do work on the brackests or was it a bolt in thing? What year of corolla seats did you use?

SWEET! I have the same year model, did they bolt right in? what year corrola did you get them out of? Any thing I need to know. Oh yeah, how does it feel, I hate my bench seat that doesnt have any adjustment!
