Which brand of parts? Best reputation?
Morning,
I have been scouring the web reading reviews and comparing prices for over a week and trying to find what is going to be the best bang for my buck. I am in the market for ball joints, A-arm bushings (that debate on poly and OE is not here) shocks, and rear springs.
Driving style/habits? Mostly on-road. Don't go off road as much as I'd like due to the fact that the truck isn't up to par. I could sacrifice road comfort for some trail ability.
But the question is...What brand do you guys trust with these parts? I don't want to have to be back down in here working on this again within the next 2-3 years (let alone months).

OEM for the ball joints and A-arm bushings.
However, with the rear springs and shocks you might have mo betta options depending on your approach. You already have a body lift, but do you plan to lift it further? If so, look into OME springs and shocks.
If you are planning to keep the stock suspension height, Moog makes a progressive rate spring that firms up the saggy butt on our 4Runners, and they only cost $70 or so.
Monroe Sensatracs work great for general street usage, they are more plush than my original Toyota shocks, but still firm. Also, you can often find buy 3 get one free deal at Advance Auto so the price is right.

For ball joints, the Beck/Arnley parts (sold by rockauto) may still be the OEM Sankei - the pics suggest they still are. They're $25 & $34:
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...parttype,10070 Beck/Arnley doesn't make parts, they source them from all over. A few years ago, all of the B/A suspension parts were Sankei. I got a pitman arm from them and it was identical to the dealer part, right down to the '555' on the casting. But it's always a bit of a crapshoot with them. rockauto is pretty good about taking returns if they turn out to be different from the pics.
For A-arm bushings, I'd go with the dealer part. This post has a list of dealers that sell online at a discount:

Shocks, IDK. Everybody seems to love the Bilsteins. Rancho 5000s are WAY too stiff, I know from experience. I'm not at all impressed with Gabriel, Monroe or KYB. If you don't want to spend the money for the Bilsteins, I'd probably go with OEM on those, too. Prices from 1sttoyotaparts.com or one of the other online dealers are very competitive with the garbage aftermarkets.
Having the leaf spring-plagued pickup, I don't know about the coil springs. (But I'm envious.) If you go with the Moogs wrenchinjoe mentioned, rockauto or amazon will prob sell them fairly cheap.

There was somebody on here that said Toyota of Dallas was the best dealer to get parts from, even with paying shipping....
You guys know a lot of different websites that deal with this stuff.

Where would be a good place to order these from? This is the next thing I'm doing with my 4Runner. New rear springs and shocks.

I got the Moog variable rate stock height springs for my 4runner off of Amazon.com a few years ago. I think they were $30 after shipping or something like that. The best thing to do is start at one website and find the price of the item you're looking for, and then pull up the next one to do the same, and so on and so fourth until you find the site with the best price for that part. You might end up ordering from multiple sites, but some won't ship from the same warehouse anyway, so the shipping isn't always bundled, so it might not make a big difference.

The Moog part # is CC255.
Rockauto.com is a great web vendor and a good place to start. Amazon.com has been great for all sorts of things and you can also typically get it shipped for free.
Advance Auto often emails me coupons and discount codes. I got mine from Advance for about $60 after the discount with free shipping.

Currently they're $75.87 on Amazon with free shipping. Anywhere anyone knows of any cheaper? I'm not really familiar with places to purchase auto parts online. I buy everything else online, but never auto parts before.
