Brakes update and other issues.

I got the brakes bled and they feel better, a little. From one of my earlier posts I stated that the rear pass side was blowing out around the hard line, the reason for that was that the bleeder was clogged. I pulled that one and the two in the front that were also clogged and got them all bled. I'm going to be flushing the system and replacing all the fluid since the stuff that's in there is almost black.

Other issues.

The 4wd light started coming on for no darn reason. It never worked brfore so I crawled underneath and found that the plug that goes on the t-case is missing on side and there is a green wire hanging up near the front of the tranny where that end was supposed to be. When the green wire contacts any metal the light comes one. I snipped it off and will be trying to track down a plug unless ya'll think I can just hard wire it in. I just did the clutch so I don't see any reason to drop the tranny/t-case again for at least 200,000 miles.

I also noticed that the t-case is leaking up at the top where the shifter goes in. I think it's the little metal plate/gasket thing under the shifter plate. Is this something that can be bought somewhere or am I going to have to find a junkyard part and hope it doesn't leak as well?

Thanks for all the help folks.

it will take a while for the friction material to wear in to the drums and rotors. until that happens, it will seem to take some extra pressure on the brake pedal to perform an effective stop until the pads and shoes 'wear in'... and you flush the crap out.

as for the t-case... fix the leak.
