hey people. Yup I'm back on the brakes again. Well ok before I started working on the brakes I had to pump the brakes to stop. I replaced the master cylinder. And still had to pump, my wheel cylinders were leaking alittle and replaced them. Still didn't fix the problem. So hearing that sumtimes the master cylinder can be defected I took it back and got another. Now sumtimes I have to pump and sometimes I don't. Also at times it will be perfict and at times it will be alittle stiff at the pedal. So yesterday I replaced the booster and now I would say It works much better, now the truck stops all together but the pedal will still go to the floor and I won't have to pump to stop. Other times it get stiff and at time it will feel perfict but without pumping. So now I'm gunna take this master cylinder and swap it one last time. If I still have this problem what else could it be? I damn near replaced everything but the lines. I changed all my pads and I adjusted the rear brakes and I bench bleed the cylinder and I started the bleed on the DR,PR,PF,DF and the load valve. If anyone has info it would help alot. I have like almost 300 bucks in fixing these brakes. HELP SOME1.. Thanks

Are you loosing fluid? Have you noticed whether or not the levels in the reservoir go down at all?

Only thing I can think of at the moment is the front calipers. And, trace down the lines.

BTW, what vehicle are you working on?

It could be as simple as not bleeding them enough.

Calipers arn't on wrong sides are they? That will do it because it creates air pockets...Not that I've ever done that.......

Those old lines get really brittle after 14 years, both mine snapped when i did calipers in the fall. For $1.30 a piece it may be worth running new front lines while you're in there. (caliper to hub, the short ones).

im not leaking fluid and my calipers seem to be fine and the pads are in good shape. so how much should i bleed them? like 3/4 of a resivor before i move to other side? lines i have no clue. there 1.30 a piece? where from? ill replace them too.
