Brake Issues

I recently had brake work done to my 1995 Toyota 4Runner SR5. After the work was done i noticed that my brake light on the dash would come on, but then it would go off, and i have not noticed any problems trying to stop. Then yesterday I noticed something dangling from under the steering colum. It is a little black box about 2 inches by 1 inch, by half an inch. I have not taken anything off yet, i have not had the time. I did pull the box off and it has a four pin connector. On the box there is a red and green led. There is also a little screw and one direction it says min, and the other way it says max. Not quite sure what it is or what it does for that matter. Please help

As far as your brake warning light, top up your brake fluid reservoir. Toyota has the low level switch set such that you need to be close to the full line in the reservoir to keep the light off.
