Bolt below camshaft sprocket?

It's the one inside the head bolting to the timing chain cover (22re). How important is it? I stripped out the threads in the timing chain cover. Is it destined to leak? Is there anything I can do? Thanks in advance.

I had the same thing happen. I just got a longer bolt and found some threads left at the bottom of th hole. Other then that you could try stripping in a bolt with a different thread. It is just Alum. I could not put any (well scared to) torque on it. It did not leak and that was 40k km ago.
