Bogging down

Here is what i have. Rebuilt 22re, the build was just done. I notice that while accelerating in 3rd gear the truck seems to bog down. I am unable to put as much pressure on the throttle as I am in the previous gears. Every gear after seems to have the same power which seems low. What should I be looking for? What could the possible problems be. I know that this motor isnt a huge powerhouse but I know it should have more power than it does. Thanks for the help and advise.

double check the timing is set properly (with the jumper in the diagnostic connector and the TPS adjusted correctly) and that the valves are all set correctly (.007/.008 intake and .011/.012 exhaust with engine warmed up)
