Bogged out 87 RTE

I have a 87 RTE and when first start the engine it feel as if its being chocked out. after a few miles I can feel it "kick in". This will happen if I park it for a an hour or more. I just tuned it it up in hopes that it would correct the issue.I have also look for vacuum leaks. not sure where to look??

Just a few miles up the road from you across the state line. So there is another first gen 4Runner in this area. When you say bogged, did you swamp it, or just the way that it is running?

Thanks for responding,
It's running funky. like it's on full choke. then about three miles down the road i can feel it sporadically trying to run right. just went on a shopping trip and when we returned and fired it up it felt like it was running on three cylinders and then cleared up.
