blown oil pressure gauge.....
94 4x4 22RE 194k
I have apparently blown up the oil pressure gauge in my truck after installing an engine with a sender for an idiot light.
What exactly do I need to replace? The whole instrument cluster or just the pressure gauge unit? Can I repair whatever is damaged?
How big a job is it to replace the gauge? Does it involve a major disassembly of the dash?

Jason,
Thanks for the links on adding a separate gauge. Though I may do this, I am interested in knowing how to replace the gauge in the stock IP cluster that I blew. Any insight into this repair?

It's the gauge. I blew it up when I replaced the engine and kept the idiot light sender instead of swapping in the original gauge sender. I was hoping to minimize the cost and time of fixing the gauge; maybe even by repairing the gauge. Can that be done?
