blow out, now lights don't work and battery will not stay charged
Ok, so I was driving down the road in my good old 1990 4 door 4runner (SR5 3.0L v6) and had the passenger front tire come apart and completely remove the inner cover of the wheel well. As a result, my headlights and parking lights no longer work, the engine overheats after about ten minutes, and the battery will not hold a charge. what the hell happened? Thanks in advance for the help

see if any wires got ripped apart. i bet the wire from your alternator to your battery probably has issues. thus it not charging/holding a charge. and you'll probably find some more wires busted. just gotta look man. it'll be obvious.
im not sure about the 90 runners but there's a fuse block in that location. so a good possibility that a chunk of rubber boogered it up somewhere down the line.
