best tune up ever

I'm estatic. Over the christmas break I decided to pay my struggling toyota some attention. I mean she needed serious help. Couldn't hold an idle never saw 55 down the highway. I did the usual plugs wires cap rotor fuel filter air filter. But I also dug way in her. Pulled the plenum off and took a round toilet brush to it and the throttle. Then pulled the fuel rails and injectors and cleaned them. Between the plenum rails and injectors there had to have been 5 pounds of sludge. Put her all back together and after the degreaser burned out of the injectors she ran like brand new. Never ever has this truck ran this good.

Heck yeah. Im impressed she even got down the road to the mudhole the way she was. I may even try to use it more like a vehicle than a four wheeler.

As far as getting it off you have to remove throttle linkage cruise linkage vaccum lines undo egr and remove the 6 bolts and 2 nuts that hold it on.

From there remove all fittings soak with brake cleaner and engine bright and jab the piss out of it with a toilet brush.

Same thing with rails and injectors. Take off banjo bolts hope you don't lose any washers and use a smaller brushl

I didn't know if brake cleaner and engine bright would hurt my injectors but they are ticking right along 4 of six of the screans in them were packed all the way to the top with rust residue and the rails were caked with it to. Now the air and fuel can have a party with spark ar the cyl.
