Best/easiest access to intake manifold lower mounting bolts

Does removing the upper part of the intake make it easier to reach?

Is getting under it the easiest?

According to the manual, you remove the "Air Intake Chamber," then you remove the head, then you remove the intake manifold from the head. http://web.archive.org/web/201211101.../7cylinder.pdf

I don't have a 22re, so I've never done this procedure. But I have a lot of faith in the manual, in general.

If you don`t need to pull the head be lots of work just to remove the lower intake manifold.

Granted if your pulling the much easier to leave it on the head and remove after the head is on the bench

Yes removing the Upper part of the manifold makes it easier to both see and reach the lower bolts .

Why pray tell are you taking it off??

Man If only I know that earlier and last time, haha.

I'm replacing the headgasket. I let it sit for a while cause I got a bike, and got pretty distracted...haha

Got the head resurfaced, got a gasket kit, got dirty, and now It's finally getting put back together.

I don't suppose anyone could help with some vacuum line guidance?
