bed not full body lift questions

I need some opinions as I want to get rid of the 4X4's under my flatbed. Even with the 4X4's. 3 1/2 inches from frame mounts, my 31's will rub at full spring compression. So I need more than that. I thought about 4X6's (5.5") but I dont want the added weight. I also thought about going the body lift route, 3" total and using the cab part of the lift and doubling them up to get my 6" I need. (Hmmm did I just say I need 6" in bed????? NM, back on topic) Is this possible? I though about just adding a hockey puck as well under the 4X4's giving me 5.5" and seeing if I clear then. 6 pucks = about $12 plus the cost of 7" bolts. Can't be much more than $10-15 at TSC which I would still have to buy if doubling up on body lift spacers. Although I know by searching most people here are opposed to the old school hockey puck lifts. Looking around in hardware stores and such I can't find any other options for a rubber or other material spacers. And I don't want to use a bunch of washers. Thanks guys.

Make some mounting brackets and weld to flat bed then bolt to frame.

easy to say for a master fabricator like yourself, what about using a 4X4 square tubing cut to say 4X4X4 with a 2X4 top? one way or another I need a 2X4 to tie the bed together. Not sure on the actual size of a 4X4 square tubing though its is really 4" or is it 3.5" like wood sizing? Oh and forgot to mention flatbed is 100% wood. Eventually once I find and can afford a welder and the subsequently learn how to weld, I plan on making at least a metal frame for the bed. but who knows when that is gonna happen lol. Might flip for Allpro's bed but not sure if I realy like it or not though. Besides that doesn't come welded up, I wonder why lol, J/K. Still need the diamond plating as well.
