Hello guys,

I have an 88 4runner in front of my house that has a half a trail master IFS lift kit on. I have lost interest and time in putting this on. Also, it is more diffcult than I thought it would be. Maybe because the kit is used and instructions are ☺☺☺☺ting. I have a new bag full of hardware.

If someone from the Bay Area would like to complete this for me, I would be more than estatic. I can compensate with food, beer, and a small fee. Of course I am a broke student that is why I am not going to a shop, and plus the truck is not drive able right now.

okay i tackled it a bit today and think it might actually be pretty complete. one question i have is.....

i test fitted the wheels on and the steering is turned, forgot how much, but the passenger side wheel is straight and the driver side is slight turned.

can this be adjusted much by the tie ends or something else?

The cam bolts can affect toe a little but the tie rods are the main adjustments for that...

If you're that close, tow it to a nearby shop and have them align it. They'll adjust that right out.

Are your tie rod adjusters frozen up or do they still turn?

okay i will check that out. i am not sure if they turn or are frozen...havent messed with that yet..on a side note....are these 3 pieces for the diff? i am not sure how the spacers fit....help? any ideas?

The bracket looks like the one that goes on the side of the passenger side diff. There were three bolts in that bracket on the oem mount, and the kit I had replaced 2 of them on the top with a c shaoed bracket, then had one similar to what you have there for the bolt on the side... It wasn't fun to line up either.

I'll try to grab you a pic later tonight if you don't figure it out...

I'll go look through my pics and see if by chance one shows it.

The other 2 things my kit didn't have anything even remotely resembling in it.

awesome. thanks man! wow your CV's are really straight...mine are slightly in an angle. And the boot got sucked in a little bit (if that makes sense) kind of like when you take a 2 liter soda bottle and push the air out of it while putting the cap on.

anyway to fix this?

My CV's are no where near that straight with the kit fully installed. I also added bj spacers to my kit and still have probably 1/2-1" of tbar crank as well.

This is how my CV's look now. I'm still planning on lowering the front a little more and evening it out once I get the stuff to drop the back a few inches to level it out... The only way to fix the angle of the CV's is to let the tbars out and lower the front end.
