hey im pretty new to yotas. only had mine about 2 months. today it started idleing really rough and when you try to give it gas it bogs really bad and sometimes stalls. its so bad its not driveable. started by cleaning throttle body and checking dist cap rotor button and wires. all fine. after some more checking i figured out that it will run right as long as i spray carb cleaner through the MAF sensor. idk what the problem is. the truck is an 88 4x4 with a 22re and a 5speed with 145000 miles it has a cold air intake and an msd coil. its stock other than that. any help will be appreciated.

ok checked the vacum lines and all look good. replaced the fuel filter. and no change. if you very very slowly rev it it will take it and run up. but if you try to rev up other than really slowly it bogs really bad.
ill check feul pressure next.

well think i figured it out. after Gizler00 said fuel pump i crossed fp to b+ at the diag connector and got under the truck and listened to the pump and it was rattling and sounded rough. did the car lot trick and slapped the tank with a hammer a few times and now its running right. geuss ill replace the fuel pump this weekend.

Mine did the same thing, a new fuel pump helped a little but the thing that got it going was the fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacuum line on it and if it feels wet or has a strong fuel smell it's probably bad. Check the fuel filter as well

Well, that's what I get for skimming the thread. Go ahead with the fuel pump. If you get the bed bolts off and lift the bed I would definitely go that route as far as getting to the pump
