ball joint spacers / body lift or crank the t bars?
Ok so heres the deal my 35s are hitting at the rear inside cornor of the inner fenders on both sides at full lock and when climbing a curb. What do you think would be the better option for correcting this bj spacers? body lift??? or just cranking the t bars??? any input with good reasons why would be great

Well really neither the BJ spacers nor the tbar crank will solve this, only the BL (1" from 4crawler.net).. thou I would do a little trimming. I have the same tire on the same lift with no rub at full stuff due to some minimal trimming. What is the BS and width on your wheels?

That is what I run, 15x8 with 3.75" BS, and have zero rub... unscrew the plastic fender liner and fold out of the way, trim the metal on the outerfender, then fold up to make a new mounting surface for the plastic, reinstall plastic trimming the excess. You gain a TON of clearance and the trim is not noticible to anyone but you.

Do not do that!
I thought I could get away with it when I did my truck and the minute I got it aligned it felt like I was driving on octagon wheels from the CV's being topper out...

I don't see the problem with the bj spaacers added to the lift as long as your t-bars are in the stock location. Your cv's shouldn't be effected and neither is the ride. I have seen more than 1 toyota on here with a 4" + 1.5" spacers without any troubles. So why yall screamin no?!?!?

Thats not really solving his rubbing problem, as long as he doesnt trim or BL he will rub in the same spot when he stuffs.... besides he may like to have CV's for more than a week or two... even with hubs
The BJ spacers were actually designed for a 4" lift, so thats not the issue. The issue is they wont solve his problem.
Hey olharley... post up some photos of where you rub...

I don't have a digital cam but from what you were saying earlier you know exactly where its hitting I think with what you have said I'll wait for your pics and try your solution since you have the same set up I'm sure you know where I'm talking about and you did describe it to a tee in the second post.

Just wanted to clarify, BJ spacers weren't designed for a 4" lift, they just work as well with that lift as they do on stock suspensions. The first prototypes were installed on a lifted truck (mine) and two stock trucks.

Well I emailed with the guy at SDORI, and I was told they were designed for a truck with a 4" for extra droop, that was the main purpose. So did I get false info, or read it wrong? I asked about using them on my 4" and was told that was the original intent. I will have to look around for that email.
