I had 33x12.5x15 on the truck and never really had a problem with wobble until around 70. Last week i got some 35x15x15 TSL Super Swampers from a friend and threw them on. i love the tires and its great around town, but the second i get around 40mph, I get a really bad wobble just shy of a death wobble and again around 70mph. My friend said they wobbled on his truck to and he had a tire show balance them but had no luck, the wobble was still there. I heard about the dyna beads, sand or air soft bb's. i tried the bb's and put 10 oz in the front 2 tires. I did not think this would work but it did help with the wobble a little. My question is should i try more weight in each tire? did i put to much weight per tire? or is there something else like caster or toe in that could be my problem. The fact that it happened once i put these tires on would make me believe that it is the tires. anyone else have the same problem with there 35's?

Might check the wheel bearings, etc. for any play since you said you had an issue with 33's too, but not as severe. Also, have the alignment checked. Sounds like your camber is not correct. How's the steering dampener?

x2 on the alignment, and also try the rear tires up front, they might be cupped due to ur buddies possible mis alignment, had the same prob on my ford and rotating the tires fixed it

hey, i've had this problem on two different brand IFS trucks.... i had it on my 1990 chevy 1500 (no lift just OEM size 265/75 kumho AT's) AND i have it on my 2000 4runner right around 62-70mph.... i just got the tires mounted and spun balanced on some black rock 929's and they still do it... i'm very irritated with this problem... i don't get a bad wobble, but i can tell there is a wobble.... whats the DEAL?

well the runner has a front end disconnect right? but the front D-shaft is still spinning? might be a mis-aligned front D-shaft, my dodge does it at about 70-75 it was driving me crazy, then i took out the front D-shaft to go on a long trip and viola its was gone...

Was the balancing done hub centric or lug centric? In my experience, 99.8% of places balance hub centric.
Balancing the right way for the vehicle might do a lot on its own.

check.... so ask them to balance Lug centric? or go to the right place? I know I need an alignment and I might need to have my tires balanced... so do i ask them to balance lug centric or do I have to go to a certain shop.... thanks for the help but could you elaborate!

Im 99% sure it is the tires.Swampers over 33inch are extremely hard to balance in my cases.Most of the time its because the tires aren't true and if they are bias and not radials well they will have a flat spot until the heat up and the rubber trues up on its on.

Super Swampers are super in the swamp. Not so super on the road though. Even when new.
Add IFS and "forget about it".
