Hey guys, this is my first post. I recently drowned my truck in a deep puddle and got the ECU wet and water in the gas. The truck quit running but after taking a blowdryer to the ECU and siphioning the water from the tank, along with a couple bottles of Heet it is running again. It idles and drives normal, but any time the rpms go above about 3200 it bucks and loses power and feels like maybe its not getting enough fuel. I changed the fuel filter thinking maybe it was clogged, and it maybe helped a little, but it still does it. Any ideas would be apreciated, maybe tps or fuel pump? Thanks

possible fuel pump, what year is it? i've had the same problem with bad throttle position sensor, do you have a way to check fuel pressure and either verify or dismiss fuel as your problem? than focus on spark, sensor issue or elsewise?

Its a 92 3vze, and I dont have a fuel pressure gauge, but maybe I could find one if I needed to. It feels fine until the rpms get high, then it gets worse and worse until I have to pull over. If I stop and then immediatly start it still feels starved, but if I stop and leave the ignition on for a few minutes without the engine running it will act normal for a few more miles. Which makes me believe the pump is acting slow. also, when I rev the engine the tps plunger sorta follows the throttle

fuel pressure gauge would be optimal at this point connect it and route the hose under the hood and close it and either duct tape it to the windshield in a fashion that you can watch the gauge as you go for a test drive watch your fuel press if it drops as the symptoms begin there ya go.
