I'm new to this forum but it is great. A lot Toyota info in one spot I have a 90 Toyota single cab 4x4 22r Was told the 22r with 325000 miles wont power 33in tires so I decided on 31in buckshots Im also installing a 3in body lift I buying new rims Don't know what backspace/off set came on the truck or what I should buy Didn't even know what backspace was until I done some searching Any info would be appreciated Thanks

31s were a dealer option tire size, put on stock wheels - so stock spec'd wheels will be sufficient. there is no technical need for a body lift with these tires, since they clear everything at stock height - again they were a dealer option tire size.

as you research things about your toyota, you will find that you will be fine moving 33" tires, the issue is stock gearing - ideally you will need to regear your differentials to a lower ratio. not everyone does this, but it's hard to argue that it is not a beneficial upgrade.

any body lift with 31" tires is to me a waste of money, unless you're needing it for something like a drivetrain lift.

Body lift helps a lot when working on your truck. Pulling the tranny to do the clutch is a breeze.
