Aussie locker
My buddy is lookin to put a locker in his 1990 runner and after reading all the great reviews and for the price compared to my detroit or arb i am thinkin by going with aussie how can he go wrong? I found that we can get one for $310 dollars right from aussie but we are on a budget due to him getting tires and wheels also. Does anyone have any ideas on where to find one for a better price? not that this is a bad price or anything i just figured i would ask around. thanks guys

theres no other way to get a better price. torq masters is the only distributor of the locker from austrailia. and they're located in new york. Last i heard, he was out of stock for the 4 cylinder models.

thanks man we are still in luck because this runner has the 3.0 in it. Do you know if the lock right is any cheaper and does it work simular to the aussie as in, they say the aussie doesnt chew up tires due to letting the outside tire turn faster when needed? i know my detriot wears them pretty quick, i wish i woulda looked into the aussie a little more for that and the price haha.

yeah i see that they all look similar from the outside but i mena all the gadgets inside to make it slip or whatever it does whenever you make a turn. you know to let the outside wheel spin faster so it aint dragging tires all the time on pavement and wearin them out. this is also his dd so were trying to save as much tire wear as possible

they all have tension springs on the inside that force the center of it out locking it in place. Now what I cannot confirm is if the three have similar amount of tension on them. And unless you find someone that has run all three in either the same truck or similar, then you'll get alot of different opinions on how much "limited slip" for the lack of a better term each one has over the other.
